A broad liberal arts education provides an exceptional preparation for a career in the health professions. UChicago students interested in pursuing a career in medicine are encouraged to concentrate in any discipline in which they have a strong interest, while making sure that they fulfill the common entry requirements for professional school. Undergraduate students have a wealth of diversity resources and affinity groups available to them, through the many student organizations that celebrate different cultural heritages, nationalities, sexual orientations, gender identities, religions, spiritualities, and abilities.
